Harry Parker, ?-2008
Harry Parker was a resident of Falher, AB at the Villa Beausejour.
He passed away on June 30th, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in McLennan. He was born Oct 18, 1918 in Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario .
He was 89 years old and had lived a good long life. His parents were John and Hilda Parker and he was married to Rose-Emma Parker for 43 years and Marie Doyle for 18 years.
He is predeceased by Rose-Emma Parker.
He is survived by his brother Romuald Parker, his daughters Doris Doyle (Robert), Francine Sliger (Pierre), Diane Harmeling (Ed), 9 grand children and 10 great grand children – all who will miss him greatly.
Harry Parker was a man of few words and enjoyed the solitude of nature. He was a good father, husband, brother, grandfather and great-grand-father. In his life he enjoyed the careers of lumberjack, trapper and carpenter.
He was very very proud of this 3 daughters. He was a great singer and musician in his youth and enjoyed his family’s musical talents.
Harry did not have to say a lot, his actions spoke for him, and his actions were those of an honorable, honest, hard-working man of great faith.
His celebration of life was on July 4th at the Ste. Anne Parish with Rev. Cyril Ogbabo officiating.
The Interment followed at the Ste Anne Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Chapel of Memories in Peace River.
Ginette Aubin was the organist and soloist.
Pallbearers were Bobby Doyle, Kevin Sliger, Rachel Sliger, Serina Harmeling, Todd Harmeling and Trevor Doyle.
Morgan Tokarz and Judy Rose were the lecturers.
Harry we’ll keep you in our hearts forever.
