Laurent Pelletier, 1931 - 2007

Laurent Noel Pelletier, longtime resident of Donnelly, Alberta, passed away in Donnelly on his 76th birthday on December 24, 2007. Laurent was born on December 24, 1931 in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec. Laurent arrived with his family in the Smoky region in 1966 He moved to Alberta and settled in the Smoky River region with his family in 1966. Here he worked at farming logging, and house moving which he did until he retired. He saw a lot of the world before he passed away on his 76th birthday. Laurent is predeceased by his parents Leon and Leda Pelletier, one son Alain Pelletier, and two brothers Leopold Pelletier and Lucien Pelletier. Laurent is survived by three son Daniel (Diane) Pelletier of Falher, Michel (Janet) Pelletier of Falher, and Raymond Pelletier of Falher; one daughter Carmen Pelletier (Denis Faucher) of Falher; 11 brothers and sisters; Lucette (Roger) Maisonneuve of Donnelly, Louis Pelletier of Falher, Leonard Pelletier of St. Albert, Lucienne Bouchard of Falher, Lauriat (Georgette) Pelletier of Edmonton, Leonce (Rose) Pelletier of Edson, Levis (Irene) Pelletier of Donnelly, Laurier (Ann) Pelletier of Valemount, British Columbia, Laurianne (Adrian) Ferland of Quebec, Lillianne (Fern) Chailler of Falher, and Lucille (Roger) Moore of Guy; 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services for the late Laurent Pelletier were held Dec. 29 in Guy at St. Guy Roman Catholic Church with Father David officiating. Ginette Aubin was organist and soloist. Pallbearers were Michel Pelletier, Raymond Pelletier, Louis Pelletier, Levis Pelletier, Leonard Pelletier, Larry Pelletier, and Mark Pelletier. Interment followed at Guy Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Chapel of Memories, Peace River.
