Laurent (Larry) Savard, ?-2008
Laurent “Larry” Savard, 56 of Edmonton, Alberta formerly of Jean-Cote and Girouxville, Alberta passed away on June 6, 2008.
Larry lived independently and courageously with a debilitating degenerative muscle disease that eventually claimed his life. He never complained and remained positive throughout. He is a shining example of strength for all who knew him. Larry is survived by his mother, Clairanne; his brothers, Norm, Ron and Marcel; his sisters, Rosanne, Paulette and Joanne; brothers-in-law, Steve and Norm; sister-in-law, Claudette.
His extended family also includes a number of nieces and nephews, their children and many cousins.
Larry loved his family dearly and we loved him equally. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Larry’s life was held at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel on Stony Plain Road in Edmonton on Saturday, June 21 at 5 p.m. Donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association on his behalf.
