Pauline Georgette (Lacoursiere) Therrien, 1930-2009

Pauline Georgette (Lacoursiere) Therrien, resident of Falher, passed away in Grande Prairie at the age of 78. Pauline was born Nov. 27, 1930, to Phillbert and Madeleine (Dupuis) Lacoursiere, at the McLennan Hospital. Pauline is survived by her children: Doreen (Norman) Verreault, Dave Therrien, Joanne (Roger) Gosselin, Linda (Grant) Wald, and by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, her sister Janine Pigeon of Victoria, BC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Phillbert and Madeleine Lacoursiere, brothers Paul and Emile Lacoursiere, her husband, Mireil Therrien on June 21, 2008, and beloved son Raymond Therrien on July 21, 2008. Funeral services for the late Pauline Therrien were held on April 14 at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Falher, with Father Charles Lavoie officiating. Music ministry was performed by Ginette Aubin, eulogy was read by Brian Pigeon. Pall bearers were Norman Verreault, Roger Gosselin, Grant Wald, Michael Verreault, Danny Therrien and Darcy Gosselin. Honorary pall bearers were Michael Verreault, JoAnn Verreault, Danny Therrien, Chris Therrien, Jennifer Simard, Kelly Simard, Darcy Gosselin, Steven Gosselin, Tammy Gosselin, and Amanda Gosselin. Cross bearers were Jo Ann Verreault, Chris Therrien and Jennifer Simard. Interment followed at the St. Anne’s Cemetery in Falher. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Chapel of Memories in Peace River. Here is a poem her family would like to share: Mom God saw you getting tired A cure was not to be So he put his arms around you And whispered, “Come with me” With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you fade away Although we loved dearly We could not make you stay A golden heart stopped beating Your tender hands at rest God took you home to prove to us He only takes the best. Mom, you will never be forgotten
