Steve Joseph Yaremko, 1932-2008

Steve Joseph Yaremko, resident of Tangent, passed away Nov. 5 at the age of 75. Steve was born on Dec. 26, 1932 in Tangent to John and Katherine Yaremko. Steve was predeceased by his wife Madeline in 1996, his father John in 1973, sister Mary in 1951, brother Alex in 2000, and brother Walter in 2002. Steve was a farmer in the Tangent area all of his life. He was very active volunteering at Tangent Park and the Board of Trade. Steve is survived by sons; David, James, and Kevin, and his daughters; Carol and Kimberly. Funeral services for the late Steve Yaremko were held Nov. 13, 2008 from the St. Martyrs Canadian Church in Tangent with Reverend Maurice Marion and Deacon Reg Bouchard officiating. Organist was Rolande Johnson and soloist Ernest Johnson. Pallbearers were Jules Boivin, Cliff Purcha, Louis Fournier, Colin Boivin, Carl Yaremko and Philipe Ouellet. Crossbearer was Stanley Yaremko and readers were Doris Boivin and Sylvia Yaremko. Interment followed at the Tangent Cemetery. Funeral directions were under the direction of Chapel of Memories in Peace River.
